8th Tegernsee International Mountain Film Festival, 20 – 24 October 2010 The clock is ticking! Numerous applications to enter the 8th International Mountain Film Festival’s competition have already arrived at the festival office. Once more, we would like to invite you very warmly to enter your current productions into competition for the Great Prize of the City of Tegernsee as well as for awards in various other categories. If you have already handed in your application and all necessary documentation, you will receive a confirmation of receipt shortly. Make sure to decide on a category that suits your submission: Mountain Experience (Alpinism, Mountain Sports, Adventure), Mountain Nature (Landscape and Environment), Mountain Life (Culture and Science) or possibly the Extra Category: Trend Sports in the Mountains. Short films, reportages, documentaries about alpine challenges and expeditions, reports on the cultures of local or remote mountain regions, portraits of people as well as of landscapes – as long as mountains are central to your film, do not hesitate to send it in. The ‘Großer Preis der Stadt Tegernsee’ (Great Prize of the City of Tegernsee) amounts to € 3,000. The German Alpine Club’s Prize for the best film in the category Mountain Experience, the first prizes in the three further categories and the prize for the best junior film maker are worth € 1,000 each. As hosts to the event, we would be pleased to see your work within our competition and do hope to see you in person at the shores of Lake Tegernsee in October.
