7th Tegernsee International Mountain Film Festival

Urgent: Just four more weeks till the deadline for submissions!

Film makers have another four weeks to send in their newest mountain films for competition in Tegernsee: on the 31st of May 2009, the submission period ends for the mountain film festival running from 21 – 25 October 2009.

By the end of May, film makers will have to hand in their newest production for this outstanding competition – so as to get a chance to present their films to a wider audience in Tegernsee in October.

Films submitted in the three main categories ‘Mountain Experience – Alpinism, Mountain Sports, Adventure’, ‘Mountain Nature – Landscape and Environment’ as well as ‘Mountain Life – Culture and Science’ must have been produced in 2006 or later. Older films are only eligible to compete in the ‘Extra’ category, its theme being ‘Mountain Animals’. Once again, a prize will be awarded to the best junior film maker; its scriptwriter / director should not be older than 32 upon completion. Cash prizes amount to 8,000 EUR in total.
